Getting a win on Alabama soil is hardly ever easy. The Dragons were thrilled to travel back home with a victory under their belts, beating the Silent Warriros 40-20, and bringing their season record to 3-3.
Alabama got on the scoreboard first, but the Dragons responded with three consecutive touchdowns before going back-n-forth the rest of the game.
"Huge kudos to our defensive front for smothering Alabama's running game," said Head Coach Eric LeFors." I don't have the exact statistics, but I'd wager that we only allowed maybe less than 40 yards on the ground."
Ja'Morien Scott catches a 1 pt. conversion in the endzone.
Offensively,
Ajani Zahira piled up the yards while
Roud Valcin finished the drives in the end zone. An often-underrated aspect of scoring is the 2-point conversion. The Drgons converted all five of their tries successfully.
The Dragons next game is away against First Coast Christian (Jacksonville) on Thursday, October 12. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.
