The FSDB Girls Basketball team started their season off with a strong win over the Matanzas Pirates 41-22. The girls played with contagious energy on the defensive side of the ball, keeping the Pirates scoreless in the first quarter. On the offensive front, the girls scored 10 straight points, hitting five of their 10 shots in the first quarter.
 

"We loved how our Dragons played through the first three quarters as a team," said Head Coach Joy Fraychineaud.

In the fourth quarter, the girls played sloppy defense allowing 12 points, while only score three points. However, and most importantly, the Dragons got the victory.
