Our Lady Dragons secured an exciting win against Impact Christian Academy. We are in the same class. Our girls have showcased amazing results. We implemented a full-court press, which led to numerous points from their turnovers. Although they pressed us, we managed to break through on the first try. After the first quarter ended, the score was 18-2. When they switched to a woman-to-woman defense on the full-court press, we initially struggled, but we adjusted, figuring out how to move the ball and create opportunities off the ball. At halftime, the score was 27-9.
They did not give up, making three 3-pointers and four 2-pointers while we scored only 10 points, bringing the score to 37-24. The gap closed to just 8 points. We then changed our defense from a 1-3-1 to a woman-to-woman defense. Our stingy defense stopped them from scoring more, limiting them to only 9 points while we scored 12 points.
The Lady Dragons demonstrated resilience and adaptability, leading to a well-deserved victory. Hats off to all our players for their hard work and contributions to this big win!
