Hello, Dragon fans! Welcome back to the 2024 season with an outstanding season opener.  FSDB emerged victorious against Cornerstone Academy of Gainesville, 32-6.

"Season openers are always butterfly inducers, but this one was amplified a bit more by the fact that Cornerstone came in with a 2-0 record. We had never played them before, and it was the debut of our new bleachers.  Our players put those butterflies into hibernation quite early when we stopped them to 2 consecutive 3-and-outs and scored on our two opening possessions to take an early 12-0 lead." said Coach LeFors

Before the half, newcomer Daniel Healy had a highlight reel interception return for a touchdown to take FSDB into the locker room with an 18-0 halftime lead.  The Dragon's defense kept suffocating the opponent, and the game was never in question up to the winning coach's favorite time, the triple zeros next to a "4".

Thanks to our veteran offensive line, we amassed over 300 rushing yards in a balanced attack.

The Dragons are now gearing up for the Homecoming game against Tennessee School for the Deaf on 9/7 at 7 pm.  We can't wait to see you all there for what promises to be a thrilling Homecoming weekend!  Be sure to check out FSDB's various social media accounts for the full schedule of events, which includes volleyball and academic bowl matches.
