The Lady Dragons faced a crucial game to reach the championship. It was our longtime goal. It was one of our unfinished businesses. Despite being 5 points down at halftime (13-18) and struggling with a 15.9% field goal percentage for 2-pointers, the team adjusted and figured out how to win.
Hannah Alford scored crucial points before halftime, and in the third quarter, we shut out the Maryland Girls and stopped their fast breaks. Hannah made three 3-pointers in the third quarter, helping us maintain the lead in the fourth quarter. Hannah was named the player of the game. Once again, the team was again recognized for their defense.
