The 2026 Eastern Athletic Association for the Blind (EAAB) Goalball Tournament held in the Bronx, New York City, marked a triumphant return for the Lady Cobras. After a multi-year absence from the tournament scene, the Lady Cobras dominated their opponents, showcasing their prowess by achieving a combined overall score of 30 to 3 over the course of the competition.

The Lady Cobras made an unforgettable impact in their first tournament appearance after their hiatus. Demonstrating remarkable skill and teamwork, they crushed the opposition with their impeccable defense and powerful offense. The only points scored against them came during the gold medal game, where they faced Governor Morehead from North Carolina. Even then, the Lady Cobras responded with an impressive six unanswered goals, securing a decisive victory.

The Lady Cobras' lineup featured a dynamic mix of talent and experience:
  • Lily James (#6, Starting Center): A key player in both defense and attack, Lily contributed 12 out of the team's 30 goals. She received recognition as an all-tournament All-Star.
  • Aspen Henderson (#1, Starting Left Wing): A formidable offensive force, Aspen scored 11 goals. She also received recognition as an all-tournament All-Star.
  • Jermeka Jones (#7, Starting Right Wing): Known for her defensive skills, Jermeka added 5 goals to the team's tally and maintained her starting position after a stellar performance at the US High School Goalball Championship. She received an honorable mention as a candidate to receive the All-Tournament All-Star.
  • Alina Davila-Tirado (#3, Wing): Contributed 2 goals while playing a vital role in the team's defensive strategy.
  • Shanteria Davis (#4, Wing) and Vivienne Matos (#5, Wing): Both players saw gameplay, embodying the team's defensive ethos.
Game-by-Game Breakdown:
  1. Game 1 vs. New York Stars: The Lady Cobras opened the tournament with a commanding 6-0 victory.
  2. Game 2 vs. Maryland Bees and Perkins School for the Blind: The team continued their winning streak with a 9-0 shutout.
  3. Semifinal vs. West Virginia Black Bears: Another flawless performance saw the Lady Cobras win 6-0.
  4. Gold Medal Game vs. Governor Morehead (North Carolina): The Lady Cobras secured the championship with a 9-3 win, responding to every challenge with resilience and skill.
Throughout the tournament, the Lady Cobras defended against approximately 211 shots, underscoring their defensive strength and strategic gameplay.
