Last Saturday, April 11th, the FSDB track & field team competed in the 16th Annual Berg/Seeger Classic at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside, CA — and they delivered an outstanding performance. The girls finished 2nd out of 18 teams, while the boys placed 3rd out of 21 teams. Several athletes set personal records and earned podium finishes, taking home medals in their events. Top finishers include:
- Skylar Bergman placed 3rd in the long jump and 300m hurdles.
- Priscilla LeFors placed 1st in the 400m, 2nd in the 200m, and 3rd in the 100m.
- Mariska Dize placed 2nd in the discus.
- The girls 4x100m Relay Team (Chelcie Vilsaint, Amelia Logsdon, Mariska Dize, and Priscilla LeFors) placed 1st.
- The girls 4x400m Relay Team (Mariska Dize, Brenna Freeman, Amelia Logsdon, and Chelcie Vilsaint) placed 2nd.
- Hunter Trouille placed 2nd in the high jump.
- LaSean Nagle placed 2nd in the shot put.
- Henry Essex placed 2nd in the discus.
- The boys 4x800m Relay Team (Ja'Morien Scott, Dylan Orcutt, Jonah Abenchuchan, and Kai Huot) placed 2nd.
- The boys 4x400m Relay Team (Jonah Abenchuchan, Xaviar Jones, Kai Huot, and Joshua Hoffnagle) placed 2nd.
