Edward Jeffords

  • One of the most consistent and great athletes in all varsity sports during the 1960s. Football, Basketball, and Track.
  • Played as a receiver in football.
  • 1967 - 2nd place in the Mason-Dixon Boys Tournament; 1st place in the District; and 2nd place in Regional. His team won the National Deaf Prep Mythical Championship (20 wins and 3 losses) by the NAD Deaf All-American magazine.
  • Excelled as a defensive basketball player and also made many assists on the team in 1967.
  • According to Johnny Samuels, his teammate, he was one of the best BB players who contributed a lot to his team.
  • Often, he was instrumental in helping his team win many games. He’s humble. His recognition for the FSDAA Hall of Fame was long overdue.
