Lathell Grimes

Basketball

• Played Basketball from 1958 through 1964.
• During his career, he made a total of around 1,700 points.
• During the 1963 District tournament, he was the tournament’s highest scorer.
• All-Conference (1960-1964).
• All-State (1963).
• All-SESSND (1962, 1963, & 1964).
• Honorable Mention, Deaf Prep All-American (1963).

Track & Field

• Participated in Track & Field from 1961-1964, during which time Mr. Henry White was the Coach.
• Best record in 440-Yd Relay at 45.5 seconds in 1963 prior to Desegregation in 1966.
• Was on the 1962 Black FSDB Track team that won 2nd place in the 20th Mythical National Deaf Prep Track Meet.
