Frank Tobeck

  • Was one of the best basketball players at FSDB during the 1970s. 
  • Was selected the MVP during the 1973 Mason-Dixon Basketball Tournament. His team won the 2nd place in the tournament. 
  • Was selected to be recognized for All-Tournament three times in a row for the Mason-Dixon Basketball Tournament, 1971, 1972, 1973
  • Holds FSDB basketball records: Rebounds (364) for Season - 1972-73 and Rebounds (955) for Career - 1970-1973
  • Was member of 1,000 Point Club for making career points (1,376) - 1970-1973
  • Was selected to be on the All-American BB team by Deaf American Magazine two years in a row, 1972 & 1973
  • Won a Gold Medal for Men’s BB team in the 1981 Deaflympics.
  • Continued his BB career after graduation from FSDB to play for the Houston Deaf Club for many years. He was the MVP and 1st Team All-Star/All-Tournament player during the 1980 American Athletic Association of the Deaf (AAAD) in San Diego, CA.
