He was one of the halfbacks in 1965.
Selected to be on the All-County (St. Johns) Football Team in 1964, along with the 2022 HOF members: James Leek and Steve Buck and with Jody Toney, one of the 2023 HOF inductees.

His 1965 Basketball Team almost defeated the Hilliard High School by the score of 81 to 80 during the Regional tournament that preceded the State Championship.
His 1966 Basketball Team won the Runner-up in the Mason-Dixon Basketball Tournament.
During his senior year, 1966-1967, when he was ineligible to play sports due to overage, he was a basketball coach for the FSDB “C” Team, helping build a fundamental program in Basketball at FSDB.
Track & Field
Was on the 1965 FSDB Varsity Track & Field Team that was just rejuvenated after several years of no track & field teams.
