Basketball (1962-1965)

• He was a leading basketball scorer in basketball, sharing the title with James Leek.
• He made 24 points in the Regional Basketball Tournament in February 1965, losing to Hillard, 81 to 80. Hillard was the eventual champion in the state.

Track & Field (1965)

• Stanley was one of the best long distance runners at FSDB and Gallaudet University.
• He broke American and Gallaudet records.
• He won gold and silver medals at Deaflympics (Deaf Olympics) in Yugoslavia in 1969.
